The Science of Innovation Summit for Journalists at the University of Chicago, founded in 2017, offers professional science and technology journalists a respite from deadlines and insight into pressing subjects, such as climate and energy science, the microbiome, advanced batteries, precision medicine and more.

Application Process: Applicants are asked to pose a question for a University of Chicago department or scientist, a question they believe university faculty are uniquely positioned to answer. Those questions will then be used to set the summit agenda. Applications will open in April for the 2018 Summit.
Summit Size: 8-10 journalists
Amenities: Lodging and meals are covered, plus a $500 stipend to cover airfare and ground transportation to and from Chicago.
