Governance and Board Operations

University President Paul Alivisatos chairs the boards of Argonne National Laboratory and Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory alongside University-appointed board members. The Argonne Board of Governors and the FRA Board of Directors comprise a diverse group of business leaders, renowned researchers and senior university administrators.

The Office of Science, Innovation, National Laboratories, and Global Initiatives is responsible for all board strategy, operations and programmatic reviews for both the Argonne Board of Governors and the FRA Board of Directors.
