The University of Chicago Consortium for Advanced Science and Engineering (UChicago CASE) grants University affiliation to approved scientists and scholars from affiliated institutions in a broad range of scientific and research areas.
UChicago CASE will broaden the intellectual scope and research activities at the University of Chicago and affiliated institutions by building on their complementary strengths and catalyzing new collaborations in the biological, computational, physical and social sciences, engineering and public policy.
Through UChicago CASE, scientists and scholars at affiliated institutions receive a wide range of benefits, such as a greater ability to participate in joint research projects, streamlined access to facilities and opportunities to participate in diverse funding sources. It will also open up opportunities to jointly mentor students and postdocs with UChicago faculty.
Currently, UChicago CASE grants University affiliation to approved researchers from Argonne National Laboratory and the Marine Biological Laboratory. It will expand to include researchers from Fermilab by July 1, 2018, and potentially other institutions in the future.
